VAULT Content Library
Owner: Trill Walker (CSO, production oversight) Marketing lead: Tia Dunn Founder + face: Taj Hines (on-camera, editorial approvals) Doc status: v1.0, 2026-07-28
1. Thesis
VAULT owns its content from Day 1. We do not license Peloton-style catalog. We do not resell third-party. Every video and audio piece the member sees is filmed inside VAULT Charlotte flagship or under VAULT direction with VAULT branding, VAULT instructors, and VAULT production.
Two reasons:
- Brand integrity. A luxury club whose digital experience feels like a rented white-label app is not a luxury club.
- Long-term asset value. The library is a compounding IP asset that supports digital membership, franchise onboarding, broadcast tie-ins, and eventual licensing revenue.
2. In-house production from Day 1
Production team (on payroll at flagship)
- Head of Content: full-time hire, Q3 2027 start. Ex-Nike Training Club, Peloton, Alo Moves, or Obe Fitness background preferred.
- Director of Photography: full-time, Q3 2027.
- Two operators: full-time, Q4 2027.
- Editor + colorist: full-time, Q4 2027.
- Audio engineer: contracted through The Walker Group, cross-functional with THE VAULT INVITATIONAL productions.
- Motion designer: contracted, monthly retainer.
Total content team burn Y1: approximately $520,000 all-in (salary, benefits, contractor fees, facility overhead allocated).
Multi-camera studio setup on main floor
The main floor is dual-purpose: member training + broadcast-quality capture. Rigged into the ceiling and walls so cameras are invisible to members.
Camera package:
- 4 Sony FX6 full-frame cinema cameras, ceiling and wall-mounted on motorized PTZ heads.
- 2 Sony FX3 handheld for instructor detail work.
- 1 Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K for hero cuts.
- 1 DJI Ronin 4D as roving cam for pole and floorwork angles.
- Insta360 Pro 2 for 180 VR capture (future headset content).
Lighting:
- Aputure Nova P600C + P300C RGBWW panels on ceiling grid.
- Astera Titan tubes for pole studio accents.
- All lighting cues DMX-controlled from a Chamsys MagicQ MQ80 console. This lets us script cues that support both member energy in-room and broadcast look on stream.
Audio:
- Shure Axient Digital wireless system, 8 channels, so instructor mics do not clash with in-room class music.
- Sennheiser MKH 8060 shotguns for ambient capture.
- DPA 4060 lavaliers for masterclass interview cuts.
- Room monitored by an Avid MTRX Studio into Pro Tools + Dante network.
Streaming + record path:
- Blackmagic ATEM Constellation 8K switcher.
- Multi-cam ISO record to Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro.
- Live encode to Mux via Teradek Prism Flex.
- 4K ProRes archive to a 200 TB Synology on 10Gb network for editorial pull.
Total capex on the studio buildout: $420,000 to $520,000 Charlotte cost basis. Amortized across 5 years, plus dual-use with THE VAULT INVITATIONAL cuts that cost down by roughly 40 percent.
Pole studio secondary rig
- 2 Sony FX3 fixed rigs.
- 1 GoPro Hero 12 mounted for overhead invert angles.
- Astera tube accents.
- Independent audio.
Rooftop rig
- 2 Sony FX3 weather-housed.
- Portable Aputure package.
- Sunrise + sunset shoots default here for editorial feel.
3. Weekly release cadence
- Monday: new sculpt or strength title.
- Tuesday: mobility + recovery drop.
- Wednesday: pole progression (rotating foundations, intermediate, advanced).
- Thursday: instructor spotlight (interview + class combo).
- Friday: masterclass or athlete session (bi-weekly).
- Saturday: live class stream from flagship, recorded to catalog by Sunday.
- Sunday: wellness education (nutrition, hormonal, sleep, breathwork).
Target: 6 new premium pieces per week in Y1, 8 per week Y2, 10 per week Y3.
Backlog reserve: 12 weeks of finished content banked at all times so a production disruption never breaks the release schedule.
4. Instructor spotlights
This is where Trill’s professional dance world connections cash in. Every quarter, one flagship spotlight titled with a name that pulls press attention on its own.
Y1 target spotlight roster (all subject to booking + fee approval):
- Q1 2028: JaQuel Knight, choreography foundations for the working dancer.
- Q2 2028: Parris Goebel, performance movement.
- Q3 2028: Sean Bankhead, hip hop technique and swagger.
- Q4 2028: Tanisha Scott, cultural expression through movement.
Each spotlight:
- 45 to 90 minute class or lecture, filmed at flagship.
- 15 to 25 minute editorial documentary intro piece.
- 3 to 5 short-form Reels + TikTok pieces cut by our motion designer.
- Behind-the-scenes photo series for retail and editorial.
Trill’s direct roster (Beyonce, MJB, Teyana, Kelly Rowland, Khalid, 50 Cent, GloRilla, Doechii, Future) is not the target for masterclass content directly. The dancers and choreographers around those artists are. That is the reachable, credible, brand-aligned pool.
5. THE VAULT INVITATIONAL tie-in
Broadcast IP launching Y1 event Q3 2028 (see 12_BROADCAST_IP). Annual specials drop into the content library within 30 days of each event:
- 60 minute broadcast recap cut, full-quality.
- Choreographer breakdown series, 3 to 5 short pieces per event.
- Athlete profile mini-docs, 5 to 8 minutes each.
- Training block series showing how featured competitors trained (repurposable as a paid program later).
- Members-only extended cuts of routines not aired in broadcast.
The Content Library becomes the second-screen home for INVITATIONAL fans. The economic play: every INVITATIONAL cycle drives Premium digital signups (target 25 percent lift in 30 days post-event).
6. Editorial standards
- No aggressive colorimetric filter. VAULT palette stays natural, warm, marble, brass, oak, black.
- No shouting instructors. No countdown clocks fused into every frame. No frantic cutting. The pace of the cut matches the pace of the movement.
- Instructor styling is clean, considered, and the same fit family as flagship uniform (see 08_RETAIL_APPAREL).
- Music curation by Trill directly. Cleared library only. No sync risk.
- Every piece opens with a 3-second brand card and closes with a 4-second brand card. No mid-roll ads ever.
7. Accessibility
- Closed captions on 100 percent of catalog by end of Y1.
- Spanish captions on top 20 percent of catalog by end of Y2.
- Audio description track on wellness education pieces where applicable.
- Deaf-friendly visual cue markers (color pulse in corner) for beat + rep counts, opt-in setting.
8. Storage + delivery
- Master ProRes stored on 200 TB Synology at flagship, backed up nightly to Backblaze B2.
- Streaming masters transcoded to Mux, HLS + DASH, adaptive bitrate.
- Cloudflare Stream as failover CDN.
- 30-day cold archive rotation for finished projects to Backblaze B2 archive tier.
9. Rights + releases
- Every on-camera instructor signs a work-for-hire release covering broadcast, streaming, cutdown, and archival use in perpetuity, no publicity rights transferred.
- Every member who appears in background footage signs a background release at membership onboarding, or is anonymized in post if they opted out of background capture.
- Masterclass talent negotiates their own deal, typically flat fee + 5 to 15 percent revenue share tagged to their launch code, plus editorial approval on their final cut.
10. Metrics
- Weekly release compliance (did the 6 pieces ship on time and to spec).
- Watch time per Premium member per month, target 90 minutes Y1, 120 minutes Y2.
- Completion rate by category, target 55 percent minimum.
- Instructor follow count as a leading indicator for masterclass demand.
- INVITATIONAL post-event lift on Premium signups.
