VAULT · Signature Amenities
Every consumable, product, and detail members touch or notice. Curated to hotel standard. Refreshed quarterly.
The doctrine
Signature amenities are the physical embodiment of the brand. A member remembers the prosecco. The scent. The heated marble bench. The towel weight. The paperweight in the locker room. These small things compound into felt luxury.
The rules: - One of each thing, chosen with intent. No “we offer three shampoos.” One shampoo, custom-formulated. - Never commodity. No brand-partnership products at cost. Everything on the floor is chosen because it’s the best available or custom-made. - Refreshed quarterly. Not because they wear out. Because taste evolves. Members notice change. - Never plastic where it can be avoided. Glass bottles. Ceramic dishes. Wood, brass, linen.

Seasonal signatures
Refreshed each quarter:
- Q1 (winter): warm spiced tea program, cedar + juniper scent leaning heavier, wool blankets in lounge
- Q2 (spring): floral upgrades in vanity + lounge, lighter scent notes (bergamot + neroli), rosé program in bar
- Q3 (summer): cold-brew focus, watermelon + cucumber-infused water at recovery, lighter fabric weight in lounge throws
- Q4 (fall): apple + cider partner producers in café, richer amber scent notes, cashmere throws in lounge
Sourcing philosophy
Where possible: - Local Charlotte partners for daily consumables (juice, flowers, bread) - US-made or European heritage for durable goods (Frette, Zalto, La Marzocco) - Custom-formulated for anything with a VAULT label (scent, personal care, apparel) - Never commodity even where members wouldn’t notice
The audit
Every quarter, Director MX runs the amenity audit:
- Is every product in stock and rotating fresh?
- Has any item been substituted (staff running to grocery store)? Investigate.
- Are the seasonal signatures actually seasonal?
- Are the refill cycles hitting the standard?
- Are members noticing? (via NPS + informal member conversations)
Every 12 months, Taj reviews the amenity portfolio with Tia and Director MX. Cuts what has drifted commodity. Adds what has moved the standard higher.
Signature is not static. Signature evolves. What stays is the discipline of choosing.
